You can now read about some of my Croydon likes and sources of inspiration in a recent interview I did with south London culture website Croydonist. They're a great team and have a really slick website. I suggest paying them a visit.
Transpontine
I've recently discovered a good blog, based around all things S.E. London, called Transpontine. I had to look up what the word meant (sorry!) but was happy to find it aptly means:
Of, pertaining to, or situated on the far side of a bridge.
Of, or pertaining to the sensational melodramas presented on the south side of the Thames in the 19th century or earlier.
They were kind enough to run a little piece about my work. Which was nice.

Winter migration
I've decided to move my blog across to WordPress. So, to celebrate, I'm reposting my entry from my bannisterimages.com site. January 28, 2013
Some good news to share. I saw an appeal for subterranean London inspired artwork on londonist.com, and had a brain wave.
After a chilly but beautiful walk around Crystal Palace Park gathering visual ammunition (a.k.a. photos) I ducked into the nourishing little Brown and Green Cafe at the train station. My resulting snowy dinosaurs piece Crystal Palace Monsters got picked up by londonist.com and a small flurry of coverage followed. Yay!"
